Olymphilex Stamp and Coin Fair Sydney 2000 cachets
Each day of the Fair had a special designation and cachets were produced accordingly. However, no cachet was used with the ‘Tennis’ Olympic Sports stamp and the Tennis pictogram as it was ‘lost or stolen’, and the envelope as described was produced without a cachet. Only 50 complete sets were cancelled by Olymphilex officials—25 on Olymphilex souvenir covers, 15 on Olympic aerogrammes and a further 10 on Olympic airmail PSEs. Other partial sets may exist (even full sets), if people attended the Fair each day and had a cover or covers cancelled.
A summary of the use of all purple cachets used by Olymphilex appears below on this set of aerogrammes (only 15 complete sets of aerogrammes were done by organisers).
